FAQ
How can therapy help me?
People seek out therapy for a wide variety of reasons including:
What areas do Ho'okupu therapists specialize in?
Our passion is to help people cultivate, nurture, and live exceptional relationships and connections. This includes all important connections with other people, and with ourselves. A core component of being able to be transparent to your partner or other important people in your life is being able to understand your own processes. We believe our own individual growth and awareness is critical in fostering and deepening personal relationships with others.
How are your services different from other counseling services that are offered by other therapists?
There are very few real-life couples that are trained, licensed therapists who work with couples and families. We work as a team to provide the perfect combination of a male-female collective approach. We are not one therapist merely giving our "book knowledge" or "professional perspective" of why women think or feel the way they do or why men think or feel the way they do. With our specialized, personally developed model of family and couples work we actually are able to connect the dots of male-female communication and relationship building that can seem so mysterious. We live our own marriage and family life on a daily basis, just like the people we serve. Bringing that real life role modeling into therapeutic work is a tremendously important part of using our professional training as therapists to produce exceptional results.
